Essential Aid and Relief
At Hambledon House Community Centre, we are dedicated to supporting families and individuals in Cairns south through community-driven initiatives, including the Hambledon House Community Centre Food Pantry. Our Food Pantry is made possible by generous donations from the public our corporate partners, and our volunteers. Together, we provide essential support to those facing hardship.
Emergency Relief Services
Hambledon House Community Centre has positively impacted many lives, offering food, toiletries and referral services to individuals and families in need. We strive to provide a safety net for those experiencing financial difficulties by offering compassionate, immediate support.
Key Initiatives
Food Pantry
Immediate assistance for families and individuals facing financial difficulties. This includes frozen meals as well as pantry items and milk, bread and fresh fruit and vegetables when available.
The food pantry is open Tuesday to Friday 9 am to 12 pm and 12:30 pm to 4 pm.
Community Connect
Providing a space where people can come together, share experiences, and find the support they need.
Community Connect takes place in the Hambledon House Community Centre courtyard twice a week: on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
Everyone is welcome, no bookings are necessary.
Donations Program
Accepting and distributing donations from local businesses and residents to those in need.
