Neighbour Day is an opportunity to connect with your neighbours. When we get to know our neighbours we form a connection and start to build trust. Knowing with your neighbours creates a safer and more friendly neighbourhood.
Many people feel isolated in their own houses. At times some people don’t get the opportunity to even talk with another person during their week. Getting to know your neighbours can decrease the chance of someone feeling isolated and left out. It is also shown that connecting with neighbours increases our wellbeing and has a positive impact on our mental health.
Neighbour Days is celebrated on the last Sunday in March each year. How about we start connecting with our neighbours by getting together with them on Neighbour Day.
